Is there a proved link between Alzheimer’s disease and alluminium?
ByWe have an Aunt who is very sadly suffering with Alzheimers and we have heard that Alluminium has been proved in some cases as a link.
She has alluminium cutlery.
I have actually done lots of studying on the disease so know how to handle it etc. We have inherited the cutlery and wonder if we should avoid using it!
Thanks

no that theory was debunked sometime ago. it would be much better to focus on known casues and helps such as anything that improves cardiovascular health should also be beneficial to the alzheimers patient. That means all theusual advice-exercise, diet, proper amount of fish or fish oils and other vitamins, and social contact that would require some brain work to keep what you can.It is not really curable but certainly keeping as healthy as possible may help and increase the time a person stays independant and functioning.
