Why does a kidney infection cause nausea?
Posted by: | CommentsI am being treated for a kidney infection that originated with a bladder infection. I am healthy. My blood work came back normal so we caught it very early. I have bad flank pain, severely nauseated at times, dizzy and weak upon arising first in the morning. I received a high dose of IV Levaquin 750 mg in the urgent care clinic with 1 L of NS. I also have a low grade fever of only 99.3. I was twice as nauseated upon leaving the clinic than before. My back pain got worse all of a sudden …. 10 minutes into the IV infusion.
Why the nausea?
Did the antibiotics kick in and that is why my back began hurting almost immediately after the infusion?
I am a nurse and this is my first kidney infection.

Posted by: | CommentsI was tested negative twice in two months and now i can feel my sinus infection coming back somehow i had a little blood in my mucus after sniffling. and my nasal cavity is dry and so is the back of my mouth when i woke up this morning. Is this a sign of the acute hiv illness?

On hiv tests and needs to wait 3-6 months to have anti-bodies show, by having unprotected s*x can they still transmit the virus to others?

Posted by: | CommentsI have an impacted wisdom tooth on the bottom rite which i’m gettin removed next week. It caused an infection yesterday, my rite cheek is swollen with pain radiating to the head and ear. I’ve taken 5 doses of Amoxicillin as instructed since yesterday, still the pain and the swelling is the same. How long does it take it to kick in? I hope it’s at least keepin the infection from spreading elsewhere if not cure it. I must take 3 tablets a day for a week, each tablet is 500mg.
