How can an alcoholic on SSRI meds safely quit drinking? Can we quit cold turkey?
Posted by: | CommentsI’ve been on these meds for about 10 years now and an alcoholic. I drink anywhere from 8 to 12 beers a day and sometimes more on the weekend. I really want to quit but my doctor told me probably not a good idea to stop cold turkey as this may lead to siezures and other complications. I have OCD and Borderline personality disorder which makes me an extremely addictive person. When I just “cut back” bit by bit…(drinking) I fail. What can I do?

Posted by: | CommentsI have been smoking for 10 months and i used to smoke around 5 Cigarettes a day……Now my Fiance seriously wants me to quit smoking completely….I didn’t smoked for one whole week but then again i started smoking one or two cigarettes. Whenever i get up after sleep or sit where my friends are smoking. I feel like smoking. Please tell me how can i quit it completely….!!!!

Posted by: | CommentsI am bound and determined to quit smoking, it’s been two days since I’ve had a smoke. I used to smoke a pack a day. I went cold turkey, and am using nicotine gum But the cravings are still really strong to smoke. I know individual experience will vary, but how long did it take for your really bad cravings to go away?
