Skins Questions
Many skins related questions and answers..Do you think Vicks help with stretch marks?
I’m writing a teen romance novel for my own enjoyment. I’m not going to try to publish it or anything, but I’d still like a little critique. Please be kind when giving me tips, but be honest. =) The main character is Michelle, a sixteen year old skater, whose home life is giving out like an old pair of skates. Amongst all the drama, she finds a guy she falls in love with.
I first stepped foot in the skating rink when I was five. Mom and Dad were still real close back then, and for their fourth anniversary, they thought skating would be the perfect date. They packed Melody and me up in the car, stuffed the first aid kit in the trunk, and in less than an hour, we had arrived. I remember thinking it was the biggest building I ever saw, and when we went into the arena, I gasped. The giant, frozen lake was bigger than my whole neighborhood I thought, and it was completely empty. We were the first guests to arrive.
My parents rented skates for my sister and me, and we laced up to go out on the ice. The first sliding step I took, I fell flat on my butt, and even little Mel tells me she can remember how badly I howled. But then Dad picked me up and held me in his arms, and the once hockey player let me fly as he skated. The air burst past me as I jetted forward, and the frosty ground reached my fingertips, pulling me in. When Dad finally set me free on the ice, I could do it. I wobbled, and held onto the side, but I managed to skate in circles for hours. From that moment on, I was addicted.

Anybody have tips for my first puppy?
Posted by: | CommentsIt sounds kind of silly, but I’m one of those people whose never had a puppy before. My friends did, but me and my brother only had a 3 year old mixed dog, so I’ve never had a puppy myself. My cousin decided he’d let me have one of the puppies from the litter his dog just had, (no comments on that please, that’s not the point) and I’ve chosen the runt of the litter, a little girl whose cute but tiny. She’s one of those AKC champion bred puppies that people pay tons of money for (which astounds me) so I’ve already been informed that I must buy her the expensive premium dog food. Besides the obvious supplies: food, dishes, flea/tick shampoo, first aid kit, collar, and leash; what else do I need? What are the easiest ways to train them?
Our dog stayed outside 24/7 until he died, so I don’t know if dogs behave different inside. The thing is I’m worried about getting a crate to put her in at night, I know she’ll be curious so leaving her out is probably out of the question, but won’t she be lonely? She’s being raised with her parents and all her siblings right now, so when she gets here and realizes she’s alone, won’t she be a bit sad? I don’t know if that happens or not, but I’m just asking. If so, is there anything I can do about it, or will she not really notice?
Hah, I forgot the most important thing how do you teach a puppy it’s name?

What are some tips for keeping skin looking young and healthy?
Posted by: | CommentsAny tips on taking dogs on vacation??
Posted by: | CommentsSo, next week Im taking my two dogs with me on vacation with my family. My mom and I took them to the vet a week ago and got them both microchipped, and got them tested for heartworm (they both didnt have it). I have bought two crates.

The dogs are small. We are going to take their favorite toys with us, their food, some water bottles, treats, leases, and a little dog first aid kit. Is all that enough for the dogs?? Are there any other tips that ya can give me?
Oh.. yeah. The trip is 12 hours.. but we are going to stop for one night at a dog friendly hotel.
My dogs LOVE going on car rides, and we always drive them around for a little bit. They dont really get car sick, sometimes they lie down and sleep if we drive for quite a while.

1- wear your sunscreen everyday unless 20 years from now you want wrinkles and dark spots. 2- sunburns- aloe vera gel helps speed up the healing of wounds and relieves itching and swelling 3- DONT EVER PICK OR SQUEEZE YOUR PIMPLES 4- redness in your pimples try using visine- it really works 5- acne or pimples- try using one of the following twice a day : salicylic acid, benzoyl peroxide, camphor, or zinc oxide. 6- exfoliate once or twice a week- honey and oatmeal works wonders or sugar and olive oil 7- nasty blackheads- lemon and sugar to exfoliate over blackheads 8- witch hazel- affordable- contains tannin which is a astringent. enjoy these beauty tips.

(Sorry this is so long! Many thanks in advance to those who reply!)
We are at week 34 awaiting the arrival of our Babygirl. Gifts and hand-me-downs are starting to come in that we’re marking off the “need to get” list (per Babies R Us).
We still have lots we need to get, so I wanted to ask for your opinions. For all those moms and dads out there, I have attached, below, the Babies R Us “Parents Checklist.” What is necessary? What is not? What is invaluable? What did you get on a whim and are eternally grateful for having? What turned out to be nothing but junk? What brands are the best (i.e., I hear that Boudreaux’s “Butt Paste” is the best there is)?
I’m starting to scout out Craigslist and eBay for deals (who the heck knew breast pumps were unbelievably expensive??? At least I can get new, in box items from eBay and save a few if I watch like a hawk!). If any of you have insights that you would share, we would be very grateful. Thanks!
